This is the Tip of Borneo, or Simpang Mengayau
as the locals call it. This dramatic peninsula is
at the northern tip of Sabah,
the Land Below the Wind. These beaches, along the west coast of the Kudat
peninsula are among the most beautiful in Sabah. It is relatively untouched,
with crystal clear water (see photo above), soft white sand and windy beaches. It is
about 180 km north of Kota Kinabalu and about half and hour's drive from
Kudat, a small idyllic town with fresh and inexpensive seafood. It is indeed
a rare opportunity to be able to own such a beautiful land on our planet
earth at such a reasonable price. And with limited land on this peninsula,
it is even more valuable as an investment.

This is the road leading to the subject
property. It has not been paved yet but will soon be as the state government
is promoting this destination. The beach here slopes gently towards the sea.
It is about 0.8 km to the tip of the peninsula. |
Beautiful rocks carved by the waves being
exposed during low tide at the sharp tip of this peninsula . It is also a
good location for snorkeling during calm weather. Just a few kilometres
north are the islands of Balambangan and Banggi. There is also a lighthouse on
the small island of Kalampunian just north of this tip.

In the background is the tip of Borneo. The
beach here slopes gently to the sea. The fine sand sometimes still turns up
unique shells and dead corals.
